When talking about her start with only one laptop and one client Fatima Vawda says “taking risks and saying that I am ready to sacrifice and I’m ready to be committed and I’m ready to be there for the long hall and see this through. And I think if I never did that I would never know, so people can never know what taking risks is all about until they’ve taken such the risk.”
She admits that “Yes it was scary, I had two small babies and kids and my husband’s working and you’ve got mortgaging your home on the back of making sure that you take this risk maybe it will work out maybe it won’t work out. But I think that my commitment was always there, you know during the first three years there were many times when people came to me to say that this is not going to work out why you don’t just get a nice cushy job in a big corporate company. You’ll get options, you’ll get shares. But with me I a vision of what I wanted to do and I stuck it through and remain committed and I think that’s really one of the biggest strengths is to end what you start and to follow things through. And if you have the ability to follow things through, it’s a very good strength and that’s essentially what I did. I took the risk, I knew I had a vision and I knew I had to follow through.
