Funeka Ndungane is a joint founder and Director – National African Women's Alliance (NAWA) now called African Women Coordinated Investments (AWCI), a broad-based BEE women's Company with a thousand (1000) women shareholders in all 9 Provinces. The Company’s unique structure lent it to be a favorite BEE empowerment partner of choice due to its national presence. She coordinated, implemented and oversaw the setting up of the Provincial Companies structures and their boards.
The Company grew its Net Asset Value of R65 million in two & a half years with its office administration funded by Absa Corporate Merchant Bank but later was replaced by Nedbank.
Joint founder and Director - African Women Enterprise Investments (Awevest) she together with her partner formed this second Broad-Based women empowerment company in January 2006 now in its 13th year. It also invested in Bee Equity Stakes in the Petroleum Sector (Sasol Oil) and acquired various mining permits as well as acquiring a Wholesaler Trading License for trading in Crude and Refined Oil products for import/export.

- Now also involved in Training services which offer all Occupational Health and Safety (SHE) Training with all its aspects, Workplace Readiness Program for final year students and job seekers, learnerships on skills training, coaching and mentorship Plus Malls infrastructure repair services, equipment supplier and strategic solutions provider of choice to a few select clients. She is also an ardent farmer for over 2 decades.
